You can get a sample of Gone Pro North Carolina at Google Play. In addition, you can also buy Gone Pro North Carolina as an ebook from that site. You should probably buy a for-realz version of the book to rest proudly on your bookcase or coffee table—maybe enclosed in glass or something. But then as Tom Chalmers of the Steve Sax Syndrome radio show on Asheville FM says, “It makes great bathroom reading!” So you may want a copy somewhere near your toilet. Works great in an outhouse, too!
But then what if you don’t want to lug around that book that weighs almost a whole pound? Get that ebook so you can have Gone Pro North Carolina on your laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
What we’re trying to say here is preview the book and then get multiple copies for every possible scenario—and it makes a great present for all your Tar Heel friends and family, too!
The book is finally here! For those who have pre-ordered from places such as Amazon, the book has been delivered. It’s starting to show up in bookstores across North Carolina. It’s time to celebrate.
Join us Thursday, April 10, at The Hop Ice Cream Cafe at 640 Merrimon Avenue in Asheville for the release party of Gone Pro North Carolina, published by Clerisy Press. I’ll have a handful of books for sale for $15. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will continue until around 9 p.m.
So if you’re a Tar Heels fan or a UNC alumnus in the Asheville area, stop by to say hello, enjoy some ice cream (I even hear there will be an ice cream cake!), and maybe even pick up a copy of Gone Pro North Carolina! See you there!
We haven’t gone international, but we have gone inter-state! I’m pleased to report I’ve been invited to appear as a featured author at the first Radford Reads Literary Festival in Southwest Virginia on July 12.
Sponsored by the Radford Public Library, the day’s events will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Glencoe Museum & Gallery at 600 Unruh Drive in Radford. The event will include readings, storytelling, live music, and of course, me. More details as they unfold…
Charlotte-folks, you have an additional chance to catch me and get a signed copy of Gone Pro North Carolina! From 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, I’ll be appearing at the Books-A-Million at 14151 Steele Creek Road. Hope to see you there!
Tune in to AshevilleFM.org Wednesday, March 19, to hear me on The Steve Sax Syndrome, a weekly online sports talk show that throws in a healthy mix of comedy and music as well. I’ll chat college hoops with Scott Bunn and Tom Chalmers and discuss Gone Pro North Carolina. It’s March Madness, baby!
